Drogba Will Be Back At Chelsea Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says he expects Didier Drogba to return to Stamford Bridge at some point in the future. The Ivorian spent eight years with the Blues winning three Premier League titles and the Champions League with the west Londoners before moving to Shanghai Shenhua in 2012. Drogba has since moved again, to Turkish side Galatasaray, but Mourinho would not be surprised to see him return to the Blues. He is a player and he is a winner and he enjoys his game and I almost had a heart attack because of him, Mourinho told the Telegraph. Let him enjoy a good couple of years of football but, after that, he is loved in this club by everyone and thats very, very normal. I think one day he will have a Chelsea future. The 35-year-old has been linked with a coaching role at Stamford Bridge and when asked if this was a possibility, Mourinho replied: Its more a global question than a specific question to the manager. I am nobody, I am just the manager. Is he a very important player in Chelseas history? Yes. Will Didier be always in the memory of Chelsea fans, Chelsea board, Chelsea owner, Chelsea fellow players, Chelsea kids growing up? Yes. Is it normal that Didier will be in the future connected with Chelsea again, I think yes. How? I dont know. Mourinho last week, urged his Chelsea youngsters to base themselves Drogba. The Ivorian plundered 157 goals in an eight-year spell for the Blues, having been brought to Stamford Bridge from Marseille by the Special One in 2004. And Mourinho says his current crop of kids should use Drogba as a blueprint for success. The Chelsea boss said: I think Didier Drogba, as a man and as a professional, is a good guy to be looked at as a very special player in the history of this club. I can use Didier as a profile to persuade the young boys to follow me because he did follow me from day one. He was playing in France and nobody really knew a lot about him when I asked the owner Roman Abramovich to buy him. Some people thought he was too expensive for somebody who had not proved himself. Then, in the owners 10th year in charge, he was voted the best player in Chelseas history. I think every player can have the same ambition that Didier had because he was a guy driven by ambition, by emotion, by friendship and by loyalty. He was loyal to the club, the manager, his fellow players and the fans.
