Deputy Trade and Industry Minister, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije has indicated that he will willingly leave his current official bungalow if ordered to do so. A High Court has ordered government to hand over keys to the bungalow its owner, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey who is the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Two ministers of state sued Mr. Lamptey over the acquisition of the bungalow, No. 2 Mango Street at the Ridge Residential area which they said was unlawfully purchased the house from the state. Speaking to Citi News, Mr. Vanderpuije stated that although is yet to be formally informed about the court order, but �at any time when they tell me to move out, I will.� �I am a government official and whatever orders my government gives me is what I will respect. If the government asks me to leave, definitely, I will have a place to sleep; definitely will go back. At least I was living in a house before I came to that place so I will definitely move back,� he added. The former presidential staffer also stated that if he were the NPP Chairman, �I will not even pursue the case because I am conscionable enough to know that when the whole country unanimously condemns such a thing, you don�t pursue it. But if he is still pursuing it, fine.�
