Expect Major Interventions In Transport Sector In Next 4 Years � President Mahama

President Mahama has said his government will over the next four years, make major interventions in the transport sector. According to him, this will open up the country for the free movement of people as well as goods and services. The President also noted that he was also optimistic that boosting the transport sector will spur economic growth. Speaking at a short inspection ceremony of ongoing projects on the Anya-Awoshie-Pokuase road, President Mahama noted: �I am satisfied with the pace of work on the roads and I think that these are the kinds of solutions that we need.� �These are the interventions that we need to make in order to absorb the growing volumes of traffic,� he added. The project is being funded by the government of Ghana, African Development Bank and the France Agency for Development.
