Wife of late President John Evans Atta Mills, has underscored the need for Ghanaians to maintain the peace being enjoyed now, as the country await the final judgment of the election petition at the Supreme Court. Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, acknowledged that the world as a whole necessarily needed that ingredient of life adding, that at all times, Ghana must strive for it. Her call comes in the wake of calls by other well-meaning Ghanaians to politicians and their followers to accept the Supreme Court�s decision no matter whose favour it is. The ex-first lady said this when her �Ghana First Lady High Schools Bible Project� train landed at Yaa Asantewaa Senior High School (YASS), in the Ashanti Regional capital Kumasi. She prayed that every Ghanaian should act as an instrument of peace to make Ghana a better place for all. �The world needs peace, Ghana needs peace always. Let�s all resolve to be instruments of peace wherever we are�, she said. She was convinced the Bible holds the key to the many challenges confronting Ghana, which includes inter-tribal and communal conflicts, poverty, disease, HIV-AIDS and many others. To her, the donation of the customized Bibles to students in Senior High Schools (SHS) is an effective and passionate tool to reach out to tomorrow�s leaders today, with the word of God in hand to enable them shape up their lives the Godly way, so as not to backslide. Mrs. Mills� donation to YASS follows other ones made to the Aburi Girls, Achimota , Awudome and New Juabeng Senior High Schools (SHS) in three other regions. The headmistress of YASS, Mrs. Elizabeth Malik, commended Mrs. Mills for the initiative saying, it was a sure way of her �acting in the seed of Christ, the teacher�. She noted that her presence and donation of the Bibles would serve as a journey to strengthen their fate in God. The Ashanti Regional Minister, Eric Opoku noted that �the word of God was the only tool to overcome the enemy� and pleaded with Mrs. Mills to extend the donation to every SHS in the country. Aside the students, the ex-first lady paid a courtesy call on the Otumfour Osei Tutu II at his Palace at Manhyia, where she presented to him a copy of the Bible. In appreciation, Otumfour thanked her and disclosed that in the past, the former first lady, always donated to him a copy of �Daily Guide�, a religious hand book by the Scriptural Union (SU) of Ghana used in guiding Christians. He was, however, not happy that along the line, the Daily Guide was stopped, but was in another breath appreciative that in place of that Mrs Mills thought it wise to present a Bible.
