Rampaging NDC Youths: A Threat To Our Peace

The Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party has noted with concern the recent needless calls for peace by some NDC Youth ahead of the Supreme Court declaration of the verdict. It is surprising that, after being convicted by the apex court of the land for preaching violence and exposing the sinister motive of the NDC, Atubigah and his NDC youth have suddenly metamorphosed into peace campaigners. Even more worrying are President John Mahamas recent public outbursts. Speaking on his recent visit to the National Chief Iman in Accra, he said, the judgement by the Supreme Court will be in his favour because he did nothing wrong. This statement is not only pre-emptive but constitutes a direct interference in the work of the Judges. In such a time when the whole Nation is under sober reflection, John Mahama, himself an NDC Youth, continues to make pre judicial and contemptuous statements that potentially threaten our peace. It is therefore not surprising to see the likes of Owula Mangotey throwing caution to the wind and making irresponsible and contemptuous statements because after all, John Mahama is his motivation. Indeed, the current vandalization and burning of State property across the Country is a direct testimony to the fact that John Mahama has failed to provide any meaningful leadership to his colleague NDC Youths. John Mahama and his NDC Youth should bear in mind that, they will not be exempted from the injurious consequences of their actions should they interfere in our quest to deliver JUSTICE to the good people of this country. We, the NPP Youth believe that, the power to adjudicate solely resides with the Judiciary, which shall be independent and subject only to the Constitution of Ghana. John Mahama should therefore stay clear of the judicial process. SIGNED: Emmanuel Attafuah-Danso National Youth Organizer, NPP. Mobile: 0208231667
