President John Dramani Mahama has appealed to Ghanaians to show good conduct ahead of the Supreme Court verdict on the election petition. The President also asked heads of the security agencies to review security arrangements put in place to ensure law and order in the aftermath of the court�s verdict. �As the Commander-in-Chief, the President has the responsibility to ensure the security of the country and I am confident that we will rise above the occasion unscathed,� he said. Mr Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, a Deputy Minister for Information and Media Relations, who announced this during the daily media briefings at the Flagstaff House, Kanda said the appeal was made when the President met security agencies on Monday to discuss the way forward. He said the President Mahama said he was confident the security forces would be able to stand the test of time and deal with all issues in the interest of the country. �The President is confident that the security agencies have the capacity to protect the security of the state,� Mr. Kwakye-Ofosu said, adding that �The President is urging Ghanaians to conduct themselves well to sustain the peace and justify the tag as a beacon of democracy, peace and stability.� He said watching the various drills of the forces across the country the Commander- in-Chief was impressed with the morale exhibited by the men and women in uniform. Mr. Kwakye-Ofosu said no signals had been picked up to suggest that there would be chaos after the judgment.
