Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice in the erstwhile Kufour administration, Lawyer Nii Ayikoi Otoo has been commended by Michael Omari Wadie, former NPP Constituency Chairman for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency for his exceptional performance to defend the General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and a member of the Young Patriots. On the 9th of August 2013, the Supreme Court with its powers summoned Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie and Hopeson Adorye to appear before the court on the 14th of August 2013 to defend themselves for contemptuous statements. According to Omari Wadie the outstanding performance of lawyer Ayikoi Otoo saved Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie and Hopeson Adorye when all hopes were down. Speaking on Okay FM, he said that �if you are looking for a lawyer, look for the good one because if you do not look for a good lawyer, a good case can turn out to be bad�; adding that the strategic performance to defend the two outspoken members of the NPP saved them from jail terms though they were fined. He however revealed that the headquarters of the main opposition NPP was in the jubilation mood when the ruling of the Supreme Court came out that the Sir John and Hopeson Adorye have been fined 5,000 Ghana Cedis and 2,000 Ghana Cedis respectively in accordance with the gravity of their offenses.
