Ghana: More Than 2,000 Women Die Of Cervical Cancer Annually

Inspite of it being the second most common and deadliest cancer that afflicts women, cervical cancer has not been given the needed attention. It is estimated that out of three thousand and thirty-eight women diagnosed in Ghana with cervical cancer yearly, two thousand and six die from the disease. Radio Ghana's Victoria Ahadzie finds out from a consultant, obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Head of Clinical Services of the Ridge hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyoh, the reasons for the increase in cervical cancer cases.
