Ahead Of SC Ruling: Nana Addo Writes On His FaceBook Wall

2012 Flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is calling for solemn intercessional prayers from all party faithful supporters and Ghanaians ahead of the August 29, Supreme Court ruling on the election petition suit. As the nation waits with bated breath the final judgement of the historic Election Petition, Nana Akufo-Addo wants Ghanaians to give thanks to God in all things, because He is sovereign and makes all things work together for good (that love Him). On his facebook wall, the NPP Flagbearer also called on all Ghanaians to be thankful in prayer for Gods protection and wisdom for the almost eight months that the petition had been on-going at the Supreme Court. As we approach the last Sunday before the Supreme Court's judgment, I urge you all to join me (Nana Akufo-Addo) in thanksgiving prayers at your respective churches and in your respective homes to thank the Almighty God for His protection and wisdom during the presidential election petition, he said After the Supreme Court had disposed of more than 20 interlocutory applications, gathered evidence for months, as well as received 344 page written addresses from lawyers in the petition, it finally fixed August 29, 2013 as the date for judgement. On that fateful day, by the powers conferred on the Supreme Court by the 1992 Constitution, it will decide whether or not to withdraw 3,931,339 votes as a result of the petitioners claims of gross and widespread irregularities recorded at 10,119 polling stations during the 2012 presidential poll. The apex court will also decide whether or not to the declaration of President John Dramani Mahama as winner of the December 7 and 8, 2012 presidential election was valid or invalid. Another decision to be considered by the court will be whether or not to declare Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the one who should be validly elected President. But whatever the outcome of the petition will be, Nana Akufo Addo on his Facebook wall strongly believes The battle is the Lord's.
