Mikky Osei-Berko Back On TV As 'Dada Cash' In Y'ello Cafe

Mikky Osei-Berko made his name as Master Richard in the popular Taxi Driver series and after some time off the screen, he is back as Dada Cash in a new television series called Yello Cafe. The series is due to start running from tonight, Saturday, August 24 on GTV and Afro Star TV concurrently at 6.30 p.m. Produced by Farmhouse and directed by Ivan Quashigah, the setting in the series is an Internet café that also serves as a centre for typesetting, photocopying and small-scale printing. It is also an MTN Money Transfer agency and holds a mobile phone and MTN call cards distribution dealership. The various operations are all linked and owned by Papa Kofi (Emmanuel Abankwa) until his elder brother Dada Cash (Mikky Osei-Berko) comes to town. Other characters in Yello Cafe include Stormy (Nana Kofi Obiri Yeboah), Frosty (Lucas Fiadzewu) and Tilly (Edith Faalong). They deal daily with all sorts of clients who either come in for secretarial services, a cup of coffee, use of the Internet or to buy MTN credit or a mobile phone. The Yello Cafe is a chic place open to all regardless of social status. The people come in with social, economic, religious and other sorts of palava, hoping to find some sort of resolution. Each episode poses a challenge to the characters but then, issues are eventually resolved by the end of an episode. There are many funny moments. The setting is a mini-world that revolves around matters many people can easily identify with, says director, Ivan Quashigah.
