The Volta Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday pledged its commitment to accept the outcome of the Supreme Court verdict. Mr Ken-Wuud Nuworsu, Volta Regional Chairman of the Party, said this in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Ho. �We believe in due process and the rule of law and also have confidence in the Supreme Court � and will accept the verdict of the Supreme Court on the election petition and peace thereafter,� he said. Mr Nuworsu said as petitioners, the NPP would accept the verdict of the Supreme Court and demanded same commitment from the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Mr Nuworsu said both political parties had been in and out of government and should have the experience and capacities to endure opposition or exercise power responsibly, bearing in mind that the mandate to rule emanated from the people. He called on supporters of the NPP and Ghanaians to cherish the country�s �peace and unity in diversity� knowing that �we are one people with a common destiny.�
