FOCUS On Peace

The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev Dr Kwabena Opuni Frimpong, has called on Institutions of trust such as traditional rulers, security agencies, the media and religious leaders to remain impartial in performing their duties. Speaking on Radio Ghanas Current Affairs Programme, "Focus", Rev Dr Opuni Frimpong noted that it is the only way to facilitate mediation to achieve Peace in the country. The Public Relations Officer of the National Council of Zongo Chiefs, Chief Imoru Baba Issa, said Muslims especially the youth should adhere to the sensitisation they have been exposed to, to prevent violence after the verdict. He noted that the best way to do this is to reject outright anyone who incites them to cause violence. Chief Imoru added that the youth must always bear in mind that the price of neglecting a good council may be the loss of lives or being incapacitated for life.
