Jordan Ayew Needs To Seize The Opportunity - Andre Ayew

Marseille striker Andre Ayew has said that his younger brother must make use of the chances he will get at the French club if he will gain more prominence this season. The 21-year old Jordan has not been a regular for the team this season mainly because French international Andre-Pierre Gignac has been in good and that has limited Ayew to three appearances coming from the bench. Andre, however, has challenged his brother to show his potential especially after deciding against leaving the club as a move to West Brom looked very likely. Jordan will certainly get to play a lot more but he must play well and that is the truth. We have started the season well and winning teams cannot be changed so he must wait for his time and when that moment comes, he must grab it", Andre said in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports on Sunday after playing for Ghana in Friday's qualifier against Zambia in Kumasi. Andre also revealed that his brother was keen on a move away from the Stade Velodrome to get more playing time but the club was not in agreement. He was supposed to move because he was not featuring a lot but the coach (Elie Baup) and some people at the club kicked against it. He eventually decided to stay and the issue has since been settled and we are looking forward to seeing him play." Marseille are currently second on the French Ligue 1 log with 9 points from four games and they are also in the UEFA Champions League group F with Arsenal, Dortmund and Napoli.
