Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, says the engineering departments of country's polytechnics will have free stands at the 7th ECOWAS Trade Fair to be held from 31st October to 11th November. He said, polytechnics are doing well in the areas of inventions and innovations and that it was imperative they are motivated to do more. He said this at the launch of ECOWAS Fair in Koforidua. Nii Lantey said, the Ministry will collaborate with the Ministry of Education to institute a competition among the polytechnics to propel them to make greater inventions for the nation. He urged all MMDAs to channel contracts to the polytechnics and Ghanaian businessmen and women as well as Small Scale Enterprises (SMEs) to take advantage of the fair. The Eastern Regional Minister, Helen Ntoso, urged Ghanaians especially the SMEs, to strengthen their entrepreneurial abilities and exhibit Ghana�s products to the world.
