The Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) that have appeared before the Judgment Debt Commission say they are not indebted to African Automobile Limited (AAL).
The MDAs said they had not signed agreement with AAL to supply them with vehicles, and that maintenance and workshop services on their cars had been paid off.
The AAL is in court claiming various sums of money from 20 MDAS as indebtedness in respect of vehicles it supplied to them, as well as maintenance and services it provided on the vehicles.
The MDAS said they had not cited documents relating to the supply of vehicles and maintenance and services of vehicles.
Alhaji Jibilem Yakubu, Acting Chief Director of the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housings confirmed the Ministry�s non-indebtedness to the AAL when he appeared before the Judgment Debt Commission in Accra on Monday.
He also submitted copies of documents on the supply of 27 vehicles from AAL to the Ministry.
Alhaji Yakubu said the Ministry had not cited any document regarding the supply of vehicles and maintenance and services, as the AAL is claiming.
He said the Ministry benefited from a World Bank Project which supplied it with 27 vehicles and 90 per cent, representing an amount of 37.2 million Japanese Yen was paid off.
The remaining 10 per cent, representing four million yen, which was a counterpart funding was also paid off after the vehicles were received.
Alhaji Yakubu said technical services on all the 27 vehicles were paid anytime service work was carried out on any one of them.
The AAL is claiming GH�18,830.70 from the Ministry as its indebtedness in respect of the 27 vehicles it supplied to the Ministry.
