Asamoah, Muntari Clash In Serie A Topliner

Ghana duo, Sulley Ali Muntari and Kwadwo Asamoah will temporarily put aside their common World Cup mission and slug it out for points when their clubs meet in one of the topliners of the Italian Serie A fixtures this weekend. Juventus, the defending champions have not been that emphatic in their performances as they were last season, but their performances have been good enough to place them third on the league standing and a good performance against the stuttering Milan could further enhance their chances of knocking off Roma who face a rejuvenated Inter Milan side off the top. Massimiliano Allegri's side, plagued with injuries and suspension playmakers Kaka and Stephan El Shaarawy are sidelined with injury, as well as suspended Mario Balotelli are already just four points behind Juventus but are ninth on the table. They could be further pushed to the wall unless they come up with a showing better than what they have exhibited so far in the league as well as in their 1-1 away draw against Ajax in the Champions League tie last Wednesday. While Milans Muntari seems to be having a good season, Asamoah is yet to step out fully but the prospect of clashing with his Black Stars teammate could be a motivation for the creative midfielder to go all out. The two sides won their respective home matches 1-0 last season and things could not be any different this season. Muntari is ready to step up to the chance of having an edge over Asamoah, but he believes this weekends clash will be decided by the strikers on both sides. Juventus at the weekend? We know they are a tough team to face, but we always have to aim to win regardless of the opponents. Milan are not only struggling with a lack of options, but their strikers are finding it tough to find the back of the net. Balotelli, who has four goals so far this season is suspended, while Robinho has scored only one.
