NPP Dir Of Finance: Patriotic Future Is Unknown To The Party To Even Demand For Audited Account

A group calling itself the Patriotic Future (PF) said to be associated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) this week demanded for an audit of the partys Bank accounts. According to the group, the partys national executives have failed to account for campaign funds meant for the 2012 general elections. The group also claimed that some polling agents recruited in 2012 have still not received their allowances. They thus press to know the whereabouts of the GH16, 000.00 paid by each parliamentary aspirant, revenue from the dues and the funds raised by the party for the 2012 electioneering campaign. But Director of Finance and Administration of the NPP, Hon. Opare Hammond, responding to the PFs allegation on OKAY FM, questioned the status of the group to even raise such demands. There are channels in the NPP to deal with such issues. If you are a member of the party and want clarification of the partys daily activities, you must go through that channel. But this group (Patriotic Future) just channeled their grievances through the media. As I speak; there is no official letter from the group to the partys headquarters. Honestly, we dont know this group (Patriotic Future) in the NPP. They have no right to ask for the partys audited accounts. We have auditors at the partys headquarters always free to clarify things to party supporters. They (Patriotic Future) should stop the noise on radio and go through the right channel if they want an audit of the party. The doors of the partys headquarters are open for every member of the party and the public, he said.
