Bature: I'm Surprised At And Disgusted With Kofi Adams's Statement

The Editor in chief of the Al-hajj newspaper, Alhaji Bature has disclosed that he is surprised and disgusted with comments passed by the Deputy General Secretary of the ruling NDC, Mr Kofi Adams. Kofi Adams has indicated that Dr.Tony Aidoos recent grumbles about the neglect of his policy monitoring and evaluation unit is ill-handled. Dr Tony Aidoo, head of policy monitoring and evaluation at the presidency said his office had been starved of resources and attention since the demise of President John Evans Atta Mills. According to him, his staff has not been paid for some months and government officials no longer submit themselves to scrutiny as used to be the routine. Kofi Adams said Dr. Aidoos comment sought to portray President Mahama as a leader, who has sidelined certain people within the party, adding such manner of expressing internal concerns portend ill consequences for the government and the party. Reacting to this, Alhaji Bature said he least expected Mr. Adams to make such comments at a time when certain prominent members in the party like Dr Tony Aidoo are expressing their personal problems and feelings which I believe if adhered to by the President, John Dramani Mahama, it will go a long way to help the party. Speaking to Hello FM Wednesday, Alhaji Bature opined that Yes, I believe they might have their own interest but this is not how to address these issues, such people are not sycophants, they are people with good standing in the party or society so I believe their issue should be looked into by the president and given the needed remedy According to him, Kofi Adams has also made similar comments in the past hence should have no problem if an aggrieved person is also complaining; sending a message to the President. I just cant fathom where Mr. Adams is coming from. Of course the issues raised by Dr. Tony Aidoo is rifehave you asked yourself where the security advisor to the President, Gen. Nunoo Mensah is? Have you ever seen him in a meeting with the President discussing matters about security, what about Koku Anyidoho; what is he doing now though he is still at the presidency he queried.
