Tragedy hit Gomoa Obuasi when a fetish priest shot dead a 42-year-old man and injured two others who went to him to seek powers to become rich, accusing them of being armed robbers.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Kennedy Adusei, Agona Swedru Divisional Crime Officer, told newsmen that about three months ago Ibrahim Adam (deceased), Kwame Justice, 28, and Thomas Donkoh, 42, all from Agona Swedru approached the fetish priest for assistance to become rich.
He said the fetish Priest, Nana Kwame, alias Nana Obotuo, charged them 1,000.00 Ghana cedis which they paid.
He said they waited for three months, the period the fetish priest gave to become rich, but nothing happened so they went for their money on October 10.
But as soon as the fetish priest saw them in the house, he rushed into his room, pulled out a gun shot them, accusing them of being armed robbers who had intended to rob him.
DSP Adusei said Kwame Justice, reported the incident to the police and the fetish priest was arrested.
