The 2012 flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is delighted that the Senior National team, Black Stars, have won their first leg FIFA World Cup qualifiers play-off over the Pharaohs Egypt. The Black Stars showed class in a 6-1 win over Egypt and ensured their World Cup hopes remain firmly in their hands. Three goals apiece in either half ensured that the Black Stars remain in the box seat ahead of the return encounter in November. Majeed Waris, a Sulley Muntari penalty and a late superb strike by substitute Christian Atsu secured Ghana an upper hand in Brazil ahead of Egypt. Mohammed Aboutrika in the first half of the proceedings scored the only goal for the Egyptians from a penalty kick. Nana Akufo-Addo who was over excited by the brilliant performance of the stars lauded the team for the brave effort to have let Egypt tasted their heaviest defeat in 23 years. �Kudos to the Ghana Black Stars.
