Man Beheaded Over Trivial Street Argument

A trivial street argument which began with insinuation later degenerated into horror, when two siblings were hacked by a 20-year-old man on Monday night resulting in the death of one at Akwansrem, near Obuasi in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region. Kwadwo Tabi, in the course of the ugly turn of events, sneaked into his house and took a double-edged machete to behead Philip Domey, 35, after inflicting multiple wounds on the elder brother, Benjamin Domey, 37, during the bloody attack. Philip Domey, died on the spot, while his brother was later resuscitated at the New Edubiase Government Hospital, where he was admitted. Medical Superintendent of New Edubiase Government Hospital, Dr Menya Mensah, who corroborated the story, told Daily Guide while Philip Domey was rushed to the hospital dead, his senior brother, Benjamin Domey was brought there with deep multiple cuts. Ben was unconscious because of heavy loss of blood, but we managed to resuscitate him, and his condition is now stable, Dr Mensah asserted. He cut the neck, the bone is also cut with severe lacerations of the muscles and the blood vessel, and blood was gushing, gushing, so before they came to the hospital, there was no life. He said the only thing connecting the hanging head to the body was a tiny bit of flesh. The Assemblyman for Akwansrem Electoral Area, Stephen Amoako-Atta told DAILY GUIDE the incident happened around 9:30pm on a pathway leading to the suspects house. He narrated that the attacker was angered by a conversation between Benjamin Domey and one Augustine aka Laker who was walking with him (suspect Kwadwo Tabi). According to him, the suspect, after accusing the two siblings of making unnecessary noise, engaged Benjamin in hot exchanges. Without showing any sign of animosity, Tabi sneaked into his house and brought a sharp machete, and attacked Benjamin Domey with support from his mother and friend Augustine who was said to have instigated the attack. Benjamin managed to escape with deep cuts on his chest, forehead, left shoulder and left face, the Assemblyman noted. Suspect Tabi then turned his attention to Philip, following his intervention, and slashed open the victims throat, beheading him subsequently. According to the Assembly, Kwadwo Tabi fled into the bush after his callous action and had since gone into hiding. The police have embarked on a manhunt to fish him out.
