NMC To Publish Report On Asantehene Bribery Allegation

The National Media Commission (NMC) has promised to make public investigations of an allegation that the Asantehene was used as a conduit to bribe the Supreme Court Justices who handled the election petition case. The NMC began its investigations as soon as the Manhyia Palace officially petitioned it on the New Free Press online publication. It is yet unclear when the National Media Commission will conclude its investigations on the matter. Executive Secretary of the National Media Commission, Mr. George Sarpong told Citi News the findings will be made public when the investigations are over. We instituted the investigations as soon as the complaint was submitted and we are seeking to establish the facts surrounding the issue and to come to conclusion based on established norms of media ethics; we certainly will announce the findings when we conclude the investigations. Mr. Sarpong called on the general public to support the NMC with relevant documents or information that will lead to the mystery surrounding the allegation.
