Nunoo Mensa's Statement Is Shameful And Despicable....Sir John

The General Secretary of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John has described recent comments by the Presidential security advisor, Brigadier General Nunoo Mensah as shameful and despicable. The General Secretary could not fathom why the presidential advisor will spew out such words to aggrieved civil workers who have various concerns which needs to be addressed by government and other stake holders who are involved in the working conditions of the Ghanaian worker. During the inauguration of a nine-unit classroom block at the OReilly Senior High School, National Security Advisor, General Nunoo-Mensah (rtd) directed members of labour unions who were dissatisfied with their conditions of service, to pack their bags and leave the country. In an interview with HELLO FM's King Edward, lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie explained that the methodology by government in addressing various concerns by civil workers might not be appropriate but you cannot add salt to injury by unleashing such words on aggrieved workers who are on strike to press home their demands. This NPP turned NDC man made these same comments during late President Mills time, why - does he think he is the only patriotic man, look at the way teachers are suffering, some teaching in dilapidated structures, in harsh and severe conditions. Look at doctors, even when they have closed from work and are at home relaxing with their family, they are called to treat emergency cases so what is wrong for them to demand for better wages, Sir john added. Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie noted that if He (Gen. Nunoo) was sent by President John Dramani Mahama to make such disgraceful comments, then he has gotten it all wrong, He should come again and render an apology to workers of this country. If he cares to know, these essential workers are better treated elsewhere in other countries and I know they can travel outside for better conditions, but they are here working not for anything but for the love of their country and their high sense of patriotism, he added.
