A former Chief Fisherman at the Elmina landing beach has called for an interdiction of two members of the National Premix Board, Kweku Nichole and John Kwessie, also known as Maanoma for allegedly enriching themselves by virtue of the positions on the board. According to Nana Jojo Solomon, the two have used their connections at the seat of government to get themselves into influential positions on the Premix Board just to make themselves rich by indulging in shady activities. ��they have made fortunes at the expense of the fishermen. This has rendered the government�s interventions in the fishing industry null and void and these people have enriched themselves. So what we the Ghana National Canoe Fisherman Council are saying is that, the President must interdict these two people. ��they must be made to declare their assets from the time they were appointed till date,� Nana Jojo Solomon asserted. The Former Chief Fisherman, speaking on Me Man Nti, on Neat FM, disclosed that there is a cabal running the sale of premix in the country and the earlier light is shed on the activity the better for the state and the fishing community.
