Ghanaians Urged To Prepare For Sunday's Partial Solar Eclipse

Ghanaians have been urged to prepare for this weekends partial hybrid solar eclipse. Ghana and other parts of West Africa will on November 3, experience the natural phenomenon. A partial hybrid solar eclipse is a stellar spectacle where there is a maximum partial covering of the Sun by the Moon. It will happen at 22 minutes past 1 p.m. that day. Barring any rains or cloudy weather, Ghanaians will see the normal afternoon sunny light being dimmed for about one-and-half minutes. About 80 to 85 percent of the Suns face would be covered by the Moon. A member of the African Astronomical Society, Prof Emmanuel Amamoo-Otchere in an interview with XYZ News said Ghanaians must not forget their eye-shades when watching the phenomenon.
