A founding member of the New Patriotic Party, Hon. Hackman Owusu Agyemang has condemned what he described as indiscipline of the Party in the media. The former New Juaben North constituency Member of Parliament is unhappy that some high profile NPP members continue to make statements in the media which are affecting the party�s chances of winning the 2016 elections. �One can safely draw the conclusion that indiscipline has now become a major negative factor that is creating tension in the body politic of the NPP and if nobody is seeing anything wrong with this unhealthy development I do.� According to him, there was discipline in the NPP when they resuscitated the party�s political activities since 1992. �When we started this endeavor or resuscitated our political activities there was a lot more discipline then than it is now and so I am pretty concerned, very much concerned and not me alone quite a few people in the party.� Hon. Hackman admonished the �so-called� founding and leading members of the NPP who have become addicted to the media to stop writing and commenting on issues that could be discussed internally. �The things that ought to be discussed and a consensus reached should be done that way; a few people who are thinking that they are the loud mouth or they think they are the only ones who can write are hurting and it is not helping the party.� He continued saying, �Really I am so much concerned about this actions by the so-called leading members and founding members who are not even founding or leading members; sometimes they even make comments on the wrong premises; we have to learn that we are in a society and must learn to discuss issues by flagging them out and then at the end of the day take a consensus.� The former Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing in an interview with Citi News suggested the immediate need to tackle the problem to prevent any crisis in the near future. He insisted the NPP should unite to win power in 2016 to salvage Ghanaians from what he described as the economic hardships they have been subjected to by the Mahama led NDC administration.
