NDC Youth Chase Out Inusah Fuseini; Beat Up Body Guard

What was intended to be a meeting to reconcile the rank and file of the National Democratic Congress in Tamale in the Northern Region turned bizarre and chaotic with the Tamale Central Member of Parliament and Lands and Natural Resources Minister Inusah Fuseini being chased out. His bodyguard who allegedly slapped one of the irate youths was beaten up, correspondents say. It is not exactly clear the reason for the chaos was but the spokesperson of the Tamale Central NDC ward executives, Issah Dabale has condemned the action by the youth. "We had people insulting him that they will throw water at him so i signalled my people to go and whisk him away." "When we saw that the people were still violent, we said the leadership should be whisked away. We did that and we were able to cool them down. Just when I was about leaving, I saw some people beating up somebody. "I asked and they said it was the bodyguard of Inusah who people beat up because according to an eye witness he slapped somebody so the crowd also rushed on him and beat him up," Dabale told Citi News. Inusah had already been taken to another gate at the stadium (where the meeting was held) and whisked away in a vehicle, Dabale indicated. The Tamale Central Constituency NDC chair Alhaji Ibrahim Andani said he was disgusted by the behavior of the youth. He said the indiscipline in the party must be uprooted. "As the constituency chairman, what happened there was disgusting to me. And it portrays the indiscipline in the party which I condemn," he said. According to him, the meeting was attended by the Tamale Regional NDC Chair, Sofo Azorka, Alhaji Hudu Yahya, Inusah Fuseini and Trade Minister Haruna Iddrisu. He called on the youth to be more disciplined.
