Ghanaian Model Roselyn Ashkar is among the final twelve selected for the maiden edition of the �Africa�s Next Top Model� competition, which premieres live on DTSV on Sunday November 10. Ashkar will on Sunday be unveiled as Ghana�s representative. Peacefmonline.com went up close to find more information about our sole representative on this international fashion platform. Who is Roselyn Ashkar? She is a former beauty pageant contestant, she once took part in the 2010 Miss Malaika competition, and in 2012, presented some few episodes of the Miss Ghana diaries. Miss Roselyn Ashkar aged 22 years started her journey within the media in 2009 as one of the top-listed models for a renowned modeling agency in Ghana called EXOPA Modeling Agency. Later in 2010, she made an appearance in the eighth edition of the popular reality television pageant Miss Malaika Ghana as a contestant. Although she became a finalist but did not win the title, her drive to achieve more did not end with her participation in the pageant. She used the platform wisely and went on to pursue further her modeling career. As a model, Miss Ashkar has featured international runway shows modeling in clothes for/working with famous designers such as Thula Sindi, David Thale, Marianne Fassler and in countless TV Commercials and outdoor print for products and brands including Daviva Fabric, Sultana Rice, ATL Fabrics, Nallem Clothing, and a runway model for Vlisco Hollandaise as well as some high fashion photographers. She also jointly owns an ushering company/agency called Exclusive Ushers Gh that provides ushers tailored for all types of events; corporate events, entertainments and activations etc. Miss Ashkar is currently pursuing a degree in BA communications with just a few more months for completion with the passion, drive and training for Television and or Radio presenting. She worked briefly as a host of the television reality show in Ghana called the Miss Ghana 2012 Diaries. Roselyn is currently Ghana�s sole representative in the continental tv show �AFRICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL� one of the 12 finalist in the competition. The show is a franchise format of AMERICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL, a reality television show created by American supermodel Tyra Banks. The show will be hosted by Nigerian supermodel, Oluchi. Set in Cape Town, South Africa, The show features 12 supermodel hopefuls from different parts of Africa as they strive to prove they have what it takes to make it in the cutthroat world of modeling and also competing to be Africa�s next top model. The show premieres on Sunday November 10, at 18:00 WAT, 19:00 CAT, 20:00 EAT ON DSTV CHANNELS (Africa Magic Ent, VuzuTV, Mzanzi Magic).
