Many people have preferred different actions to be taken regarding the secretly recorded and leaked tape which ignited public outrage and the subsequent dismissal of the Deputy Minister of Communications, Victoria Hammah. There are those who are of the view that, given the revelations on the tape, further investigations must be conducted into the matter. Others also called for the arrest and freezing of the assets of the sacked deputy minister. But one view that is sure to interest many Ghanaians is the position by Akua Donkor, who says the beleaguered former government appointee should be cited for contempt of court. The Founder and Leader of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) wants Victoria Hammah to be hauled before the apex court of the land to explain whatever she knows regarding the role she claims Nana Oye Lithur, Minister for Gender, Women and Social Protection played in obtaining the verdict in the election petition case, in favor of President Mahama. Victoria Hammah was heard on the over 30 minutes tape narrating to an unidentified lady, the role Nana Oye Lithur, who incidentally was the wife of the President�s Lawyer in the case, played to make sure the petitioner�s case was dismissed. "You want to fight Oye Lithur. Tony Lithur controls three Ministries. That Rachel is not wise� Tony Lithur has been the friend of the Rawlingses, been a friend to President John, and his wife. I learnt even before the verdict, Nana (Oye Lithur) was with the Justices and all that. You don�t know the role she has played for us to win the court case. Then, you want to use your lack of intelligence to push her out... "Tony Lithur and John Mahama, they�ve got an alliance. They are allies, you understand. They defend each other," Vicky Hammah said. Speaking in an interview with Adakabre Frimpong Manso, on NEAT FM, Akua Donkor wondered how the dismissed deputy Minister could claim �that the judges were influenced in their final ruling when but the Supreme Court judges�s decision was a split one? How can they be bribed but vote 5 against 4?...that is why I say she must be cited for contempt�. ��I�m all for giving women the opportunity to make their voices be heard in politics, but the behavior and mindset of Victoria Hammah was not the best so it was right the President to sack her,� Akua Donkor posited.
