Reggie Battles Obrafour...

Reggie Rockstone, for almost two decades, has been touted as the originator of hip-life music, while for just a little over a decade, Obrafour has also maintained his accolade as the executioner of hiplife. The two would, for the first time, battle each other on one stage at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday December 6, at the Back In The Day concert for the audience to judge which of the two actually ruled the hiplife world in the past. Seeing, they say, is believing and until the two actually mount one stage to grab the mic, there would be no physical or concrete evidence to bring to finality the long standing debate over which of them is a better rap artiste, a performer and a crowd mover. Also on the night would be the good old T-Blaze who has promised to put up an extraordinary performance and the US-based group, Naughty By Nature trio. Back In The Day is a show that aims at bringing back old time hip-life artistes whose works have stood the test of time, on one stage. It is organized by Empire Entertainment and the companys Chief Executive, Nathaniel Kwabena Adisi, aka Bola Ray, says he is putting his reputation on the line to bet that the event would be a banger to remember. Bola Ray said Back In The Day is also intended to unify the industry one more time as artistes who had issues with each other at the time will use the shows stage to settle their differences. Being the first time in Ghana, Naughty By Nature, according to the organizers, has promised to rock Ghana with its brand of hip-hop music. Blessed with an incomparably smooth voice, excellent writing and production skills, as well as uncanny stagecraft and crowd pleasing dance ability, members of Naughty by Nature are poised to dazzle Ghanaian music fans, come December 6. Bola Ray noted that all the artistes billed to perform at the show would treat fans to unforgettable and splendid performances, saying patrons who would throng the Accra International Conference Centre would be thrilled beyond their expectation.
