President John Dramani Mahama has directed the Finance Ministry to with immediate effect pay government counterpart funding to complete the construction of the University of Health and Allied Sciences in the Volta region. According to the President, government is working tirelessly to provide the university with all the resources it needs to allow it operate smoothly. �...the other little problems like electricity, water and the road are being worked on. I have spoken to the Regional Minister and the water connection is going to be done, the Highways engineers have been instructed to do the road and in the meantime the boreholes that have been dug will be mechanized so that they can have some water here��� The University of Health and Allied Sciences which is expected to operate within three different campuses in the Volta region was established by late President John Atta Mills. Speaking at the main campus of the university as part of his two day working tour to the Volta region, President Mahama said he is confident that work at the university campuses will be completed on the scheduled date. President Mahama further paid a glowing tribute to the former President Atta Mills for the role he played in establishing the university.
