Odike Cries Foul

Presidential Candidate of the United Front Party (UFP) in the 2012 elections, Akwasi Addai Odike, claims a well-calculated conspiracy led to the demolishing of a multi-million cedi project he was undertaking on behalf of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA). The Kumasi based businessman disclosed to Adakabre Frimpong Manso on NEAT FM that he refused a cash offer to give up the land on which he was building a car testing facility, to be used as the Ashanti Regional office Annex. After the Asokwahene had given me the land by standing in for the Asantehene during the sod cutting to commence the project, he told me the owner of LLL, which was just next door from my project site planned doingThe expatriate then told me he owns the parcel of land on which I am undertaking the DVLA project. I then pointed it out to him that no one owns that land, per the books of Lands Commission. He then intimated that he would want to have my plot in addition to his because he has plans of building a shopping mall and that, the citing of my project would obstruct his. Mr. Addai continued by saying, I told the foreigner this is a government project and I cannot be relocated but he attempted to persuade me and offered an amount of money, which I refused. I later narrated what transpired in the meeting with the Whiteman to Asokwahene but unknowing to me, that was my doom. According to him, the most surprising aspect of all is the fact that Mr. Kojo Bosu, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Mayor led to a team of Military men to his site, to pull down his structure. Odike made these revelations after he had invoked curses on the KMA boss, the Asokwahene and the military personnel who embarked on the operation. He then promised a fierce legal battle but told Adakabre Frimpong Manso he will only rescind his decision to seek claims for his loses if the matter is settled amicably and the parcel of land returned to him.
