Four Dead In Fatal Sankpala Accident

Four persons were confirmed dead on Sunday at about 17:45 GMT when a Daf Passenger Vehicle got involved in an accident on head-on-collision with an Opel Astra. A source from the Northern Regional Police Motor, Traffic and Transport Unit told the Ghana News Agency that the Daf was travelling towards Kumasi, while the Opel was moving in the direction of Tamale when the accident occurred at Sankpala on the Tamale-Kumasi Highway, resulting in the mangling of the private vehicle with all the four occupants found dead. At the time of filing this report, Police and Ghana National Fire Service personnel were trying to retrieve the mangled bodies, while the injured had been rushed to various hospitals for treatment.
