President John Mahama will perform a ground breaking ceremony today, Wednesday, for expansion works at the Takoradi Port. A statement from the Presidency at Flagstaff House in Accra copied to the Ghana News Agency said the works were part of a government's port infrastructure expansion programme, and was being carried out in phases to modernise the country's ports to meet projected increases in maritime activities. While in the Western Region, the President will also inspect some ongoing road projects and address a durbar of chiefs and people at Bogosu, the statement said.
