Political Scientist Condemns Culture Of Blame Game To Justify Actions

A Political Scientist at the University of Ghana, Dr. Seidu Alidu says it is about time governments and politicians realised that electorates are fed up with the habit of blame game in politics. Giving his thoughts on the culture of blame game which has eaten deep into the country's political fabric, Dr. Alidu said, this trend has become a habit of many politicians who will always want to cite wrong precedence of previous governments to justify their actions. He is of the view that politicians should learn from past mistakes and work towards championing new government strategies with the believe that electorates will judge them based on their actions. In the issue of comparing Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and Nelson Mandela, Dr. Alidu noted that such an exercise can be justified depending on its basis. He said both leaders shared similar traits in their quest towards gaining freedom for their people and the continent.
