John Boye Eyes Rennes Exit After 2014 World Cup

The rearguard wants to cement a spot in the Black Stars ahead of the Mundial after returning from injury since that could serve as a catalyst to switch club next summer. Stade Rennes defender John Boye hopes to use the 2014 World Cup as a platform to market himself to bigger clubs. The former Hearts of Lions guardsman is relishing the prospect of his debut appearance at the global football fiesta in Brazil and believes that could be a catalyst to switch leagues. I have a personal ambition as an individual and that is to change my club, Boye, who is just returning from injury, told Accra-based Radio XYZ. I have always had the dream to move to a bigger club after my contract with Stade Rennes so the World Cup in Brazil gives me the opportunity to showcase what I have to the rest of the world. The central defender missed the World Cup play-offs against Egypt and is pleased with his team-mates at national level.
