THE FORMER Offinso North Constituency Member of Parliament, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, has refuted assertions doing the rounds that he has a problem with Nana Akufo Addo, hence his being critical against the party�s flagbearer performance in previous elections.
Speaking on Joy FM, Dr. Apraku said Nana Akufo Addo is his friend and they have been friends for years, and that people should separate emotions from objectives.
He said even if his mother or father was running as double loser on the ticket of the NPP party, he will advise against it, saying you can never go forward in life if you keep sweeping issues under the carpet. He stated that the NPP cannot go on and lose election unless they are done with the core analysis. He debunked claims that he was running down the double loser NPP flag bearer, Nana Akufo Addo, adding �I am not running down any candidate, I am reading results which were published by Electoral commission (EC).
�That is the results from voting by Ghanaian. The statistics is running NPP down�, he stressed. The former Minister of NEPAD and Regional Integration under the Kufuor administration noted that his assertions do not matter whether he has interest to vie for the flagbearer position in NPP.
Dr. Apraku stated emphatically that the Danquah-Busia party has not analysed the reasons why it lost the General Elections on a trot.
