Where In NPPs Constitution Is It Stated That We Should Heed To Kufuors Advice In Order To Survive?

One person in the elephant fraternity who a founding member, Dr. Nyaho-Nyaho Tamakloe believes can salvage the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from its recent political mess is former President John Agyekum Kufuor. Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe, earlier this week, warned that the party will fail if it does not heed the advice of Mr. Kufuor concerning the intolerance creeping into the party ahead of its delegate congress in March 2014. This is a man with enormous political experienceI dont think there is anyone in this country who has practical political experience than Kufuor. We (NPP) must count ourselves lucky when we have such a person in your party. If the NPP wants to survive, we have to listen to J.A Kufuor, he noted. But another leading member of the party sharply disagrees. Asamoah Gyamfi, speaking on Asempa FM, sought to know where in the partys constitution is it stipulated that the former president words must be final. Where in the partys constitution has it been stated that we must heed to Kufuors advices?...This creates an impression that the party is in flames so if Kufuor does not speakthere will be division in the party. There is nothing like that, he opined. Some leading members of the party launched a scathing attack on presidential hopeful, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku for asking delegates to vote for a candidate more appealing to floating voters. But to Asamoah Gyamfi, though the attack is unfortunate it is normal in any political organization. Democracy talks about competition of ideas and we all cannot have one idea so therefore we will be competing and when we are competing, naturally there will be diverse opinions. There is no way we can be all be of one mind in the NPPit will never happen. In 2000, there were a lot of attacks on Kufuor and there were people who never thought Kufuor will be president but those same people are with him now, he said.
