A cross-section of Ghanaians in Accra said on Tuesday they were hoping for a better economy in 2014 to enable them enjoy better living standards. In an interviewe with the Ghana News Agency Alhaji Abu Issah, a trader at the Tema Station, said he was hoping that the economy would be much better for all Ghanaians to enjoy the fruits of their labour next year. Miss Beeliada Zot, a first year student of Adonteng Senior High School, said she wanted the government to take good care of teachers and other workers so that there would be no industrial unrest, adding �we need teachers in the classroom so that teaching and learning can go on well�. Miss Dorcas Bugyei, an SHS graduate, said it was her prayer that her parents� businesses would flourish to enable them take care of her education. Mr Evans Opoku-Ware, a cobbler said he was hopeful of being able to raise funds to enable him learn a new trade. Mr Clement Nii Adzei of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union urged Ghanaians to forgive one another and forge ahead as one people with a common destiny. Miss Priscilla Yirenkyi, an SHS graduate, said it was her expectation that her parents� business would grow in 2014 so that they could earn a lot to be able to take good care of her and her siblings.
