Kumasi Mayor Salutes The Media For Good Job

Mr Kojo Bonsu, the Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), has given thumps up to the media, for what he said was the good job it was doing to promote development. He said he was impressed with the tremendous contribution it was making to help change things and make the country a better place to live in. Mr Bonsu gave the commendation, when he feted over 100 journalists at his official residence in Kumasi. Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr Samuel Yaw Adusei and Mr Eric Addai, the Asutifi North District Chief Executive (DCE), were also present. He pledged the determination of the metropolitan assembly to give every support to the media in the performance of its duties. He urged its continued collaboration with the assembly to safeguard the peace and ensure smooth progress. Mr Bonsu repeated his commitment to work hard and with zeal to bring development to Kumasi and help to recapture its former glory as the Garden City of West Africa. Running through the optional speeches made by the journalists was the need for regular interactions to promote information flow and keep the people adequately informed about the assembly�s activities and programmes.
