Maxwell Konadu Takes His Players Through Intense Double Sessions

Maxwell Konadu pushed his players to the limit in preparation for the coming tournament in South Africa after putting his Ghana's home-based players through double training sessions on Monday. The home-based team arrived in South Africa on Sunday ahead of the start of the African Nations Championship this week after a week-long camp in Namibia. After being rested on their arrival, Konadu handed them two strenuous training sessions. The first session in the morning saw the player heading to the gym before they wrapped up the days programme later in the afternoon on the field in Bloemfontein. Ghana are paired in Group C with Libya, Ethiopia and Congo for the tournament reserved for only home-based players of member nations. The 16-nation tournament will kick-off on 11 January and finish on 1 February 2014.
