Rawlings Cautions Mahama Against Appointing Majority Of Kusasis...

Former President Jerry John Rawlings has asked President John Mahama to be impartial in his appointments of people from the Bawku traditional area. He cautioned President Mahama against appointing majority of Kusasis to serve in his administration to the neglect of the Mamprusis. According the Mr. Rawlings, any attempt to totally exclude the Mamprusis from the current National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration could affect the party in subsequent elections. The NDC founder was addressing the 26th Anniversary of the Samanpiid Festival celebrated by the Chiefs and people of Kusaug in the Bawku traditional area. He raised eyebrows on the deplorable road network from Bolgatanga to Bawku and called for government's swift intervention. He challenged President Mahama to live a remarkable footprint by bridging the developmental disparities between southern and northern Ghana. Mr. Rawlings called for forgiveness and reconciliation between the Mamprusis and Kusasis to move the area forward.
