In The Event Of Any Upheaval, Atuguba Will Be Targeted First - Napo

The Member of Parliament for Manhyia has predicted that failure on the part of the judiciary to deliver justice when needed marks a bad omen for the nation and could geminate into a huge upheaval. Hon. Mathew Opoku Prempeh says he finds it intriguing that the presiding Judge in last years election case, Justice William Atuguba could muster courage and call on Ghanaians to rise up and demand for their place in governance after failing to deliver justice in the case he presided over. Speaking during a donation to some branches of the Ghana Legal Aid in the Ashanti Region, Justice Atuguba, noted that the apparent apathy towards national issues by citizens resulted in the current violent upheavals that rocked countries in Africa including Egypt and Libya. But in an interview with Okay FM, the NPP scribe stated that such an advice could end up haunting the Supreme Court judge. If Ghanaians are to rise and demand for social justice, it would affect him (Atuguba)am surprised he can go to Kumasi to say that. He is the same person who was given a case to rule on but couldnt put things in the right place because he was being economical with the truth, the Manhyia MP said.
