Kanye West has been officially named as a suspect in a misdemeanour battery assault case following reports of an altercation with a young man yesterday afternoon, according to a police department, who have confirmed they are investigating the incident. The 36-year-old rapper is reported to have flown into a rage and punched an 18-year-old man outside a building near Wiltshire Boulevard at 12:15pm on Monday (January 14) after the unidentified teenager allegedly hurled racial insults at Kanye's fiancee Kim Kardashian and the surrounding paparazzi.
