Peace, Stability Prerequisites For Development - Amissah Arthur

Vice President Mr Kwesi Bekoe. Amissah-Arthur, has commended the chiefs and people of Gonja Traditional Council for their effort at ensuring the prevalence of peace in the area. Mr Amissah-Arthur made the point when he spoke at the Damba festival of the chiefs and people of the area as the special guest of honour in Damongo on Tuesday. Mr Amissah-Arthur observed that peace and stability engendered development and progress, and therefore urged traditional authorities to complement government�s effort at ensuring peace in the country. The Vice President, who earlier inspected the progress of work on the Fufulso-Sawla road project, said as part of its continuous effort to deliver on the Better Ghana Agenda, the Government was laying the foundation, though critical investments, to improve the lives of the people. Earlier on Tuesday, Vice President Amissah-Arthur also paid a courtesy call on the Regent of Dagbon at Yendi.
