Ben Dotses Appointment Another Presidential Expense On Ghanaian Taxpayer

The National Womens Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Otiko Afisa Djaba has implored President John Dramani Mahama and his government to put in place mechanisms that would develop the economy instead of merely appointing new Presidential staffers. Otiko Djaba, speaking to Oman FM, urged the President to concentrate on resolving the economic crises confronting Ghanaians. Addressing President Mahama's appointment of former BBC presenter, Ben Dotse Malor as Senior Communications Adviser and Head of Communications at the Presidency, she believed such act is just another way by government to overburden the citizenry. According to her, it is totally 'unnecessary' for the President to appoint a new member into the Presidential family while Ghanaians are saddled with energy problems, water crisis and other challenges crippling the progress of the economy. She therefore cautioned the Mahama government to "focus on delivering better governance. Focus on delivering on the promisesso that youll leave behind a legacy. She strongly held that the appointment Mr. Ben Dotse Malor is "a cost issue...It is going to overburden Ghanaians. And its just more talk; we need action to move from first gear to second and third and to fourth. Ghana must see good governance under this administration.
