Now the battle has ended, and it is evidentially clear Greater Accra delegates of the New Patriotic Party did not grant Mrs. Owusu-Ekuful's wish. A couple of weeks ago, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful stunned her political pundits when she openly blamed the Greater Accra Regional executives for the party�s woes in 2012. Prior to the congress which was held last Saturday, the vibrant Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West was on air calling for a complete overhaul of the executives. One particular executive whose name came up for mention was Ishmael Ashiettey. The Greater Accra Regional NPP Chairman was accused of running the party from his residence in Tema to the neglect of the regional office. But as fate would have it, it appears Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful's hand are too short to box with Mr. Ishmael Ashiettey. He retained his position as Greater Accra Regional Chairman and many are wondering if it is revenge time and whether he will pay the Ablekuma West MP in her own coin. In an exclusive interview with Okay FM, Mr. Ishmael Ashiettey categorically stated that he would not sow seeds to destroy the dreams of Mrs. Owusu-Ekuful if she declares her intention to go for a second term as MP in the constituency. He however ended his submission by calling on the Ablekuma West MP to cease making claims which are bereft of facts.
