Yammin Jubilant! Says He Will Give NPP A Run For Their Money

The Deputy Minister for Sports, Joseph Yammin, is in a jubilant mood following the election over the weekend of Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, a.k.a Chairman Wontumi as Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP. With the election of Chairman Wontumi, I can comfortably say that the NDC, with the usual handwork, will chalk a historic 35% of total votes in the Ashanti Regional come the 2016 General elections, an excited Yammin told the Daily Post yesterday. According to the Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, who is also the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC, the election of Chairman Wontumi makes the NDCs work a lot easier because majority of the good people of the Ashanti Region will not sell their conscience for money. The NPP has shot itself in the foot with the election of Chairman Wontumi because they have elected a novice for the sake of money. Ashanti are a noble people. They are hard-working. Each one looks for his or her own money through hard-work. Only a very few will sell their conscience for money. The campaign leading to voting day last Saturday to elect Regional executives of the NPP was fraught with allegations of votes buying in the Ashanti Region where the eventual winner, Chairman Wontumi, showed his money swine prowess by spraying money about like confetti. Rather than condemn this invidious act, the National Chairman of the party, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, a.k.a Mr. Bungalow, said there was nothing wrong with it. Speaking on Asempe FM, a Former Deputy Attorney-General, speaking to Asempe FM said it is shameful, tolerating vote buying in the party is officially endorsing corruption of the system. Joseph Yammin says he believes that the people of Ashanti, by 2016, will stand in awe of the work done by the Mahama government and therefore retain it in power. He however congratulated the newly elected executives of the NPP in the Ashanti Region, promising to give them a run for their money.
