Fuel Supply To Stabilize Within The Week - NPA

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has asked Ghanaians especially drivers not to be alarmed following reports of fuel shortage. Checks made by Peace FM correspondents in some parts of the country disclosed that there were shortages of petrol leading to long queues of cars; both private and commercial at some of the filling stations. Yaro Kasambata, Public Relations Officer of NPA admitted the shortage of fuel; linking it to a late arrival of cargoes due to bad weather. Speaking in an interview on Kokrokoo, he pointed out that the quantity of fuel normally distributed will be doubled to stabilize the situation. He was therefore optimistic that the situation will be resolved by the end of the week. Consumers should be rest assured that as the week advances, petrol supply will improve he guaranteed.
