Ex-Black Stars coach Emmanuel Kwesi Afranie,has told Ghana Sports that the Black Stars has a very formidable team that can cause a surprise at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
He warned the team not to be complacent especially playing against the United States of America in their opener.
�We have a very strong team but it is you the media that put fear in Ghanaians when they are playing, but Ghana poses a threat to anybody at the world cup,� he said.
He is optimistic Ghana can go far but would need to send spies on the group opponents and prepare adequately by playing a couple of trial matches to assess the playing body before June.
�I remember my days with the national team, similar comments were said about me and my team but with determination, Kwesi Appiah and his boys will make Ghana proud again�.
Already, the United States of America have played their first international friendly in a defeat to Sao Paulo�s Santos and have already pitched camp in Brazil.
Portugal have also begun camping with home-based players while Germany is also in keen preparations.
The Ghana Football Association, however, is yet to announce the Black Stars schedule for the World Cup.
